The Roberta Bondar Park and Tent Pavilion is an iconic waterfront landmark in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. Named in honour of Canada's first female astronaut, Dr. Roberta Bondar, the tent like structure features a fabric roof designed with a single masted cone on one side, and a truss V arch on the other.
The Tent Pavilion structure provides 14,000 square feet of covered open space that can seat up to 1,750 people. The facility is equipped with a stage, dressing rooms, storage space, warming kitchen, public address system, tables and chairs and an outdoor amphitheatre.
